Friends of St. Hilda’s Happy Steps 5k takes place Sunday 25th September, 2pm at Athlone Regional Sport Centre Fitness Park. Many thanks to Athlone Regional Sports Centre Fitness Park for the use of the fitness park this year.
It has been 2 years since we have been able to hold this enjoyable event and we look forward to seeing everyone on the day.
The Annual General Meeting of the Board of Directors of St. Hilda’s Services takes place Tuesday 4th October 2022 at 7.00pm. Venue – The Bounty, 2 Mile Road, Coosan, Athlone.

Athlone Golf Club will host Friends Of St. Hilda’s Golf Classic on Friday 27th May 2022. The Golf Classic launched on Tuesday 14th April with Jack Carty and Athlone Municipal Authority Deputy Major Aengus O’Rourke in support of this event at the fantastic location of Athlone Golf Club.
This year the focus to all fundraising at St. Hilda’s is directed to the renovation of the Adult Training Centre, Grace Park Road, Athlone. This location provides day services to 20 adults with an intellectual disability, supporting them to participate actively in the community. The refurbishment and renovation will bring a high quality standard to the building giving all those who access the building the high quality environment they deserve.
“Our aim is to have the very best for those we serve in our community and we are delighted to be taking the initiative with this fundraiser” said Willie Brady, organiser of the Golf Classic. This year the Golf Event will be a competition with 4 persons – €200. St. Hilda’s are also seeking sponsors of Tees and Greens for this worthy cause . This webinar, hosted by the HSE Disability
Services, will be held on Friday, 23rd April 2021 from 11:30am –
1:00pm.
The webinar will introduce participants to the
National Psychosocial Response to COVID-19 Framework and will feature a number
of speakers who will discuss the importance of wellness and supporting one
another, self-care and outline further practical support services that are
available free of charge to people with disabilities, their families and
carers.
A disabled person will also speak about how he has
coped during the pandemic.
