Located in Grace Park Road, the Adult Training Centre is our largest and oldest unit. It provides training and support to approximately 28 people we work with.
Aims and Objectives:
The training programme encompasses all aspects of daily life which enables each individual to adapt socially, culturally and emotionally to independent living and employment. To meet these training objectives each individual has a person centred plan.
The training programme includes the following activities and modules:
- Social training.
- Vocational skills.
- Woodwork / craft skills.
- Practical academics.
- Training in leisure activities.
- Special activities.
- Horticulture programme.
- Computer skills.
- Art.
- Physical education.
This Programme is designed to provide for the emotional, intellectual, social and physical needs of the individual with a view to maximising the person’s potential as a valued member of our society.
